Cobanero Chili Flakes
Cobanero Chili Flakes

Sourced from the Guatemalan city of Cobán, the cobánero chili pepper has been growing for thousands of years and has been enjoyed since the Mayan times. This chili pepper is one of the oldest, domesticated peppers in existence. The peppers are air-dried and then ground and carry an intense smoky and fiery heat. Use this sparingly as a finishing spice on eggs, grilled vegetables, or meats. Or try your hand at the national dish of Guatemala, Kak’ik, a fiery turkey soup.
